The project consisted of construction inspection for bridge rehabilitation including structural repairs, steel painting and roadway resurfacing.

                       

Northbound Taconic State Parkway over New Croton Reservoir

D015671, Bridge Rehabilitation of Taconic State Parkway Northbound over the New Croton Reservoir in the town of Yorktown. Work included Steel Repairs, Concrete Repairs, Joint Replacement and Painting. Provided Resident Engineering Inspection Services for the Rehabilitation of the Route I-87 over the Sawmill Parkway in Elmsford, New York. This three lane steel thru arch bridge measures 960 feet in length, and carries high traffic volume at high speeds. The scope of work included repair and replacement of structural steel members as necessary, complete blast cleaning per SSPC SP-10, and painting of the entire bridge structure utilizing Class ‘A’ Containment, replacement of concrete approach slabs, repairs of bridge railings, and other miscellaneous structural repairs. Work also included monitoring lead-contaminated waste handling/ disposal following all applicable codes required for air quality, water quality and noise. Other work included maintenance and protection of traffic and material testing as needed.
