The project scope comprised of realignment of West Street from West Thames Street to Chambers Street in downtown New York City area.  The work included widening and realignment of West Street , promenade development, rehabilitation of several bridges crossing West Street and West Street Underpass Approach Realignment to accommodate the new Route 9A realignment.  Siddiqui Engineering was tasked with realignment of West Street Underpass Approach realignment.  The work on West Street Underpass required demolition of existing structures including retaining walls, structural roadway slab, and miscellaneous items.  Work on the underpass included initial survey, field inspection, geotechnical studies to determined subsurface soil characteristics, structural and civil design, foundation design, preparation of quantity and cost estimates.  Performed work from preliminary design to final PS&E package.  Siddiqui Engineering will also provide design support services on this project.
