The Verrazano Narrows Bridge is a heavily traveled, 9,800-foot-long, suspended span bridge, connecting Brooklyn and Staten Island . Existing construction varies, and consists of a 4,260 feet main span, 1,215 feet side spans and approach spans on both sides.

 

Scope of work included design of repairs for all flagged sub floorbeams (562) and Stringers (59) at Verrazano Narrows Bridge under project GFM-328.  Painting of exterior strip of lower level suspended spans was also included in the scope of work.  The contract plans provided all structural details for repairs and painting accompanied by maintenance and protection of traffic plans.

Project Cost: $4.7M.
